Honesty is telling the truth and always being sincere.
Why is it important to be honest?
Here is one very good example. If you see someone else doing something wrong that may affect the safety of others, be honest and tell an adult right away. This small act of honesty could protect not only the student doing something wrong but the safety of all students in school.
How can I show others that I am honest?
Discuss how telling a lie makes us feel. Don’t you feel better when you tell the truth? It is sometimes harder to tell the truth but you will always feel better when you make the right choice. Telling the truth is always the right choice and makes us feel good.
What happens when we are honest?
When parents and teachers trust us we get more chances to do things. When we are honest and tell the truth, we are being responsible. This is called being trustworthy. People think it is worth trusting us.
What happens when we are not honest?
One thing to remember is that when other people find out that you have lied, they lose trust in you. It is very hard to rebuild that trust. Don't take that chance. Don't lie.
How does not being honest make you feel?
If we are not honest and do not tell the truth to our friends, parents, and teachers, people will learn not to believe us and not trust us. If this happens to you the feeling is very bad.

What are some ways to be honest at school?
Do your work by yourself and ask the teacher for help when you need it.
Tell the truth even if you may get into a little trouble.
If someone in your class is doing something wrong, try not to tell on them unless they are doing something dangerous. Instead, try to remind them to make the choice of doing the right thing. In other words, in a kind way, try to correct your friends by talking to them when then are doing something wrong.
Always try to pick friends that tell the truth like you.
If your friend tells you a secret, keep it.
