Walk for the Animals
Learn About the Humane Society

Madison, Raveena, Saagar with Rita and Roxie (the little dogs)
The Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-a-Pet is a limited admit, adoption guarantee facility dedicated to placing every dog and cat in their care into a loving home. They also promote responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs.
If you do not have a chance to participate in the Walk for the Animals, it is never too late to donate to the Humane Society of Greater Miami. Every dollar donated to the Humane Society goes towards sheltering up to 250 homeless dogs and cats in their care everyday and supporting important programs they offer. These programs include low-cost spay/neuter services, quality adoptions, humane education, and pet therapy.
You are also invited to visit one of their facilities.

What? Sequoia - The Agility Dog?
There was an area set aside for dogs to practice their agility skills. It looked like a lot of fun from far away. My dad thought it was a good idea to take me over to this area while we waited for the Walk to begin. He wanted me to do a little agility work. You may remember he tried this last year but he was not successful. Well, he tried again this year.
He tried to get me to jump through a hanging circle. No way!
He asked me to bend down and crawl through a big tube. He even tried to crawl in first to show me how to do it. No way!
I got scared.

Now THIS I Can Do!
So much for the walking plank, crawling tube, and the hanging ring. I am pleased to say I got up my nerve, cast my fate to the wind, and jumped over a low horizontal bar. It may look easy to you but for someone who have never tried any agility work in the past, it was a little hard at first.
